A combination of gravity and a contoured, protective steering wheel cover that uses a novel pocket to surround the bottom of the wheel keeps your DashBlanket™ in place. In many applications, several dime-sized magnets are sewn into the DashBlanket's edge where the dash meets the base of the windshield. No adhesives or fasteners of any kind are used which means when you remove it nobody will know how you keep your dash looking great.
No. Two layers of cotton fabric separate the face of the magnet from the point of contact on your dash board. The magnets are sewn (not glued!) into the bias border for long life and trouble-free service.
Simply wipe off dust, spills, etc. with a damp cloth.

Stocked DashBlankets™ are light-grey, although we also offer seven other custom colors. Go Behind the Scenes to see samples for yourself. (Lighter colors are recommended because they reflect light better and therefore absorb a minimum amount of heat.)

So-called "universal" windshield visors provide incomplete coverage and offer only partial protection from damaging UV radiation due to sunlight, and then only from rays pointing DIRECTLY at the visor. The custom-tailoring of a DashBlanket™ blocks UV radiation from every angle and thus helps protect the dash pad, steering wheel and instrument panel regardless of how your car is parked or time of day. DashBlanket is also excellent at minimizing dust buildup, whether at car shows or at home in your garage!
